Pyroelectric linear arrays 128LTx and 256LTx

September 2009

New pyroelectric linear arrays for spectrometry

DIAS Infrared GmbH produces high sensitive infrared detectors for many years. While detectors with one to four spectral channels in TO can housing has been dominating recently, now applications for linear arrays with more than 128 pixels are upcoming. Typical pitch of such sensors is 100 µm and 50 µm respectively. For spectrometry application DIAS Infrared GmbH has developed the types 128LTx SP0.5, 128LTx SP1.0 and 256LTI SP0.5 which have longer sensitive elements.

Common narrow and wide band-pass filters can be used as well as linear variable filters. To be able to cover a wider spectral range when linear variable filters are used, now sensor arrays with two side by side placed lines are available. Each of the two channels can be equipped with a separate filter. Both channels have separate output pins. These dual line sensors are available as types 2x128LTx SP0.5 and 2x256LTI SP0.5.

Handheld programming device DHP 1040

September 2009

Change pyrometer settings easily? Use the new DHP 1040 from DIAS Infrared!

In these days DIAS Infrared brings a high innovative product to the market – the DHP 1040, a mobile device, which enables the customer to program pyrometer settings on the go.

The advantages are obvious: The customer can work on-site without any computer needed. You can connect pyrometers with RS485 and USB interface to the DHP 1040. Furthermore it has a full graphic OLED display and can be used very comfortably with five buttons. Another advantage is the power supply, which is realised with standard batteries. If you connect a pyrometer with USB interface, no additional power supply for the pyrometer is neccessary.

It is highly recommended to buy the DHP 1040 if you have many pyrometers working in your project.

PYROSPOT DSR 10NF

May 2009

Hot! DIAS Infrared now offers flame pyrometers

The pyrometers of DIAS Infrareds PYROSPOT Series 10 will be complemented with the digital flame pyrometer PYROSPOT DSR 10NF. It enables temperature measurement of lighting flames with variable amount of sooty particles and is especially designed for industrial applications.

Special characteristics of the flame pyrometer are a very short response time of only 5 ms (t95) and a through-lens-sighting for the exact positioning. It is also available with a green LED or red laser aiming.

Furthermore the device is in a solid compact housing and has a protective glass made of quartz glass for its vario optic. The soot factor is adjustable via push-buttons and displayed directly on the device. All parameters can be easily adjusted to the application by using the comfortable software PYROSOFT Spot.

Typical pyrometer applications are the measurement of lighting flames, carbon dust and oil combustion systems as well as waste incinerators and combustors.

PYROSPOT DSR 10N

April 2009

Fast, compact ratio pyrometer from DIAS Infrared GmbH

Company DIAS Infrared GmbH introduces the interesting ratio (2-colour) pyrometer PYROSPOT DSR 10N as consistent extension of the PYROSPOT pyrometer series 10. Such ratio pyrometers are operating with 2 different, adjacent wavelengths thus enables the non-contact temperature measurement of "grey bodies" independent on the emissivity of these objects.

There are a lot of applications in industry and research in which only a 2-colour pyrometer can solve the measurement task successfully. The solid design of the compact housing, the focusable optics with protection window and the isolated interface RS485 show the industrial strength of these pyrometers. The short response time of only 5 ms (t95) and the automatic contamination surveillance of the optics mark a novelty in this class of pyrometers.

Of course this 2-colour pyrometer can also be used as a common pyrometer in 1-colour mode. The very easy setting of the emissivity slope (or the emissivity) via push buttons and display at the instrument makes this pyrometer exceptionally user friendly. The exact alignment can be done with a LED or laser targeting light or a trough-lens view finder.

Part of the standard delivery is the software PYROSPOT which enables the remote parametrizing of the instrument as well as data logging and data analyzing and integration in fieldbus systems.

Applications for these ratio pyrometers can be found in all industry lines with high temperature processes between 600 °C and 3000 °C.

Infrared Line Camera PYROLINE compact

February 2009

New: Infrared line cameras PYROLINE compact from DIAS Infrared

The well approved line cameras PYROLINE of DIAS Infrared GmbH Germany are now available in compact housings (IP 54).

These cameras enable the non-contact measurement of temperature profiles in ranges between 0 °C and 1300 °C with extremely high speed up to 512 lines per second. Various spectral ranges are available, e.g. 8 µm to 14 µm and 3 µm to 5 µm for the measurement of low and medium temperatures, 4.8 µm to 5.2 µm for glass surface temperature measurement or 1.4 µm to 1.8 µm for high temperatures at metal objects.

The real-time data transfer is done by Fast Ethernet. Isolated digital inputs (trigger inputs) and digital outputs (alarms) are standard. The cameras are available in different housings (industrial housing (IP65) with optional built-in air purge and water-cooling, weather-proof housing, ATEX housing).

The powerful online software PYROSOFT under Windows® enables the camera controlling and surveillance as well as the visualisation, recording, analysing and storing of measured data.
